Asia's Harp Angel, Singer & Songwriter

Noelle Cassandra, also coined as Asia's Harp Angel, Singer & Songwriter, was born in Canada and was classically trained at the Vancouver Academy of Music and earned her Bachelor of Music from the University of British Columbia.
With a repertoire of original music and adaptations of pieces drawn from pop, ballads, jazz, and rock, Noelle breaks the stereotype of the ethereal, silent harpist as she is a natural host with a warm sense of humor that endears her to her audiences.
Perhaps what makes her perfect for events, shows and weddings is that her lyrics are inspired by real life, as such, they speak to listeners, whether male or female, young or old, because of the sincerity that lies behind her words. The sweetness and clarity of her voice as she sings truly engages her audience; imagine her strings and voice soaring behind the most relevant songs of your life, and you have a lovely picture of entertainment that won’t be ignored at the event.
Her credentials belie her modest demeanor. As a harpist-singer, she is in demand and has played with some of the Philippines’ top artists including Kuh Ledesma, Sharon Cuneta, Martin Nievera, Richard Poon, and Jose Mari Chan. She has also worked with top musicians Louie Ocampo and Mel Villena. Highlights of her career include playing at Josh Groban’s concerts when he performed live in Manila and being named a finalist in the 2007 Catholic Mass Media Awards and the Awit Awards for her self-titled debut album. Her 2008 Valentine show with John Lesaca and Tots Tolentino was also a finalist in the Aliw Awards for the year. Not bad for someone just breaking into the entertainment field with an unrivaled instrument and talent.
Noelle performs at weddings, shows, corporate events and music venues. She also hosted This Week’s Big Five on C/S 9 and guests on local TV and radio shows. She was invited to perform at the PBA’s championship game’s Halftime Show at Araneta Coliseum and the PBA Hall of Fame. Her self-titled first album under Viva Records has hit the charts with her covers and four originals.
Besides her hectic schedule, this young lady also finds time to give back. In 2005, Noelle established a charity called N.C. ROCs (Noelle Cassandra Reach-Out Club) which is geared to lend a helping hand in projects around the world.
One project she developed is called Sharing the Gift of Music in where she teaches a music class to the girls at Marillac Hills in Alabang, Muntinlupa, which is a haven for young girls who have been sexually abused or exploited or are in trouble with the law. NC ROCs provides a nest in which these children in need can feel safe to grow - in skills, in confidence and in self-esteem.
Another project that Noelle contributes to is the Harp Hits for Healing Albums, produced by the Dominican Sisters of Regina Rosarii, headed by Sr. Eppie Brasil. These albums are full of instrumental harp music, performed by Noelle, specifically geared to healing. Purchase of these CDs will help in the Ministries and Outreach Programs of the Dominican Sisters of Regina Rosarii.
This exceptional artist has brought her harp’s beautiful glissandos and arpeggio runs to a very large and appreciative audience… And to see her perform live is something not to be missed. With her crossover style, Noelle Cassandra treats her listeners to a new sound, something one does not expect from a harp. Let her sing and play for your event; she leaves no hearts unturned as she gives listeners pleasant surprises with her unique style of music.
